HONG KONG STOP OVER

Arrived in HK in the afternoon, and met up with Shiling and Christie at HK Station. No photos taken.. forgot about it.. too excited to meet up with them.

This photo is taken somewhere in HK... cant remember where, but the signs says 'Wan Chai', so it must be there. :D

After walking around, we decided to go for dinner

Chinese food!!! Yeay!!! after months of chinese food deprivation.

It was waaaay past my bedtime when we arrived at vid's, but cannot waste time sleeping during holiday!hahaha...

So... we ended up here for midnite supper. The boys were disappointed with the lack of preeeetty girls at the place. According to Chai-wat the pretty girls come out even later in the nite.

We old bunch of pple dee... so we hurry go back home to sleeepzz....

Free tuk tuk from vid's condo! We were all psyched up on our first day in BKK! (technically day 2 la.. but last nite not counted mah :p )

Brunch at roadside stall ... (cant remember soi wat :p) Apologies k.. if i dun remember the places we went at all! hahaha... poor memory sorrie sorrie :p

we were looking to eat mooo (pork)... but no mooo at that roadside stall. kekeke

woooo... i quite like this noodle soup thingy.. think it was quite nice!:D

fulllll...... =) Time for some coffeeeeee :)

We hang out at True Coffeee.... which was where we started our conversation about True Love (i think :p)

..... i swear it was a coinsidence with the true coffee and true love :p

theeeeen.... we went to take the Long Tail Boat Rides... cruuuising along the Chao Praya river (vid i took from google one hope it's correct river haha:p)

mh enjoyin the river breeeeze siaaa.... coool....

hahah.. nice pictures hor! they look very happy. (hc upload your pics soon, ur camera has me and vid's pics on the boat! hahha)

We took the boat to Wat Arun ("Temple of the Dawn"). It was a very nice temple :)

Amazing view with the sunset too.... :)

Had dinner at Alexis, where we ordered different kind of rice-dish.. too bad dont have the photos..

Was delighted to see Teh Botol Sorso in the menu! Reminded me of the Bali trip..

The Teh Botol came in a glass instead of a botol...KNS!

This is the famous dish...Ayam Penyet (Smashed Chicken)

The food was yummy!...but wasnt satisfied with the Teh Botol...there's a reason for it to be called Teh Botol la!...the Teh must be in the Botol...not in a glass...KNN!

For instance, Mr Voo 'huat' on Germany instead of Croatia last nite on Euro...and he regretted it...lol

Botakman is clearly unhappy about turning a quarter century old...hehe...well just to update, we all (HC, Fel, Deqi, Yanning, Weebs, Jierong, Weiliang and of cos the bday boy) went to Crystal Jade at Takashimaya last friday after work to have dinner to celebrate botakman's bday...had some "la mian" (pull noodles?) and "xiao long bao" (small dragon dumplings?)...fel ordered a dish called "kou shui chi" (saliva chicken?)...she said it's damn nice and so I tried it and as a consequence I cirit-birit the next day....even botakman who downed a glass of chinese tea mixed with vinegar oso din get cirit-birit....wah lau this saliva chicken is damn chialat...hehe...after dinner we went to a coffee shop around Orchard called TCC...or was it TTC?...cant remember...that's where the pic was taken...neway Weide...happy bday again!...Big boy dee...dun be naughty ah

Yoooo peepssss!!!... How's it goin? Thought i'd clock in an entry before the end of the year (just in case i haven't already made an entry during the year) just to mark attendance. =P

Mannn... believe it or not, it's the end of the year aready. As of tomorrow, we will no longer be able to say things like ... "... last year when we were at uni...." It'll no longer be a 'last year' affair mann.... sighhh...

Neways, next year's resolution's gonna be to ACTUALLY make it to one of the annual trips (if i may call it that)... Gonna TRY and keep to it... missed out on far to many mann... was just lookin' back at some of the pics that we had taken over the years (didn't quite manage too actually go thru the many thousands that we accumulated over the three years at uni)... there were so many nice ones, like the ones from Graduation and Bali that I missed (and MH too). We've all gotta make a trip in 2007 k... ALL of us... it's high time we did... and i'll make it a point to not FFK this time around yea... =)

Ok, i shall stop the rambling onnnsss now... just felt darn nostalgic and was missing the good ol' days mannn... (well actually a number of us have been feelin that way ever since we all left uni!). .. just wanna post some pics of when I got to go to Warwick U again - stood in a heated Panorama Room!! met a neverending flow of students:

From 11-4pm, i saw very many familiar faces, WillTang,IanYeung,PingYuen,Cheryl,Joanna,other Jr's hahah... WB's vietnamese friend Long.. it was really amazing to see how much these guys actually love Warwick to stay on a year even after they've already finished hahahahahahhahaha....

You never guess when attending the careers fairs last time, how much those guys at the stands had to talk and talk and talk until u actually have to do it urself... i tell ya, 5hrs later i was wornnn out, and in need of refreshments!

I met up with Ian first - they have made a new place called "QUENCH"... a sort of Refreshments Bar - this used to be the 'food' section of Cholo's... remember? let me post a pic i took:

I tried something called "LoveJuice" ... Ian recommended hahah.. it was pretty gudd... i think had some yoghurt and berries and other fruits ...

the food's tasty there actually.. had some bbq sauced up chicken with chips.. lol... ahh.. at that point i was v. hungry...

finished up here and rushed for train... i realli enjoyed the 4hr journey to warwick.. but the ride back to Ncastle, wasn't so enjoyable. made me miss the place we all studied at and spent much of our time playin ball, cookin, workin at arts centre/gallery,goin lectures,goin to OWW,and pure chillin'....and much more... (oh yeh forgot to mention DC++... our 3yr saviour)... they don't have this nemore apparently... i think Warwick's rating must've gone down after DC++ did... ahahahh

Silk Road Trip

Hello everyone, I've just got back from my Silk Road trip in China. It was a rather hectic trip travelling from one city to another but it was still loads of fun. Really wished I didn't have to go back to work !! Here are some of the pics....

This is a night view of Urumqi night market, where you can find variety of the local cuisine which includes roast mutton, barbeque and promegade juice.

Scenic spots: My sis and I up on Heavenly mountain.

We went sand surfing on the Gobi Dessert park. We had an experienced driver which took my sis and I on a roller coaster ride on the Gobi sand dunes. Whoa...... (Warning: Not suitable for people with heart problems.)

Among the other dessert activities include donkey rides to the ancient ruins of Gaochang, a city from the 13th century. Below is a pic of what's left:

Hey everyone...how's everyone doing?...it's me Mun Hou, it's really been a while since someone blogged here....defeinitely ppl busy with their stuff like working, playing before moving into camp, studying and graduating and shifting esp. it's nearing summer, i.e. time to leave the hostels...Anyway..thought i'd just drop a note to keep it active a lil...Update that i have got to found out is that Dharmini left E & Y and is now in KAF, back in a tandem with Mabel...haha...Shiling is in JP Morgan...super bz..with her gmail & messenger ban there...so cant speak much to her...KH as i know was on leave for 1-2 months i think...dunno if he is still on leave...Poncho is probably fragging a lot before doing the real fragging in army....and leaving some stash for HC..AND CHRIS is coming in SEPT...so hope everyone must make themselves free...(yea u must be thinking, this sentence seemed to meant to myself more than anyone else...oh yea there is WW too)...

My 4th Warwick Malaysian Night

Atteneded Warwick Malaysian Night 2006. Play this year was very good, the way the story was told was different from pervious years. An arty dimension was attached to it. Due to that some of the scences were really good and tastefully done. The playwrights really made used of the backgrounds and lights to tell the story. Very much more emotional than pervious years though I did not understood some of the sences (maybe I am not cultivated enough to understand art) and though some of the dances were abit redundant. They actuallty copied the dance moves and clothing from a Cyndi Wong MTV and stuck it into the script. That didn't really made sense to me actually appeared abit silly............. but the dancers are hot. Hehehe. Dikir was damn good as well! The retained some of the songs but added new ones as well. This bit of the show I enjoyed the most! Like all the Dikir performances over the years they had loud and coherent claps. It was toching and powerful. In fact I think that this is probb the best Dikir performance out of the 4 Malaysian night I have been to.

hi guys, its me ah...the not 3 not 4 guy....tmr i'm starting sch again....spring semester....last semester/term ever in my life maybe....i hope i won't skip many classes this time ahhrrzzz....so please prrrrey for me ahrrzzz...all afternoon classes, hard to skip...

today is last day of my winter holiday ah....it was 3 weeks long...i slack the first n last week (as usual) and the middle week i went to puerto rico, which is somewhere below usa...island la...went there to see some forts, go to beach, water activities, and see the limestone cave n rainforst...n mangroves n bio-luminescence bay...it was quite lax lar...n somehow i tot its quite similar la to south east asia climate n vegetation...but probly "exotic" to the pple of america...was reminded of bali a bit also ahhrzzz...dunno whether the business up has picked up again after the bomb at kuta late last year...

its 2006 already ah...so fast...hope everyone will have a fulfilling and interesting year ahead ahrrzzz....n chinese new year is coming soon....enjoy it guys, those who finally can celebrate it in ur home countries....it will be so shiok...all the holidays and goodies n hongbao and meeting relatives .... i guess my resolution this year is to play more ball, explore ny more, and get to know more girls HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHA....jokin... ... .. no chio bu here....*sob*.....oh yea...and to work hard n don't skip classes as usual.....

Hello ppl! How are you guys doing? Been very busy of late with classes and labs. I just finished my exams which I spent a good part of it studying now taking a few days during term time would you believe it?

Nothing much intrestring happened during my time in London yet but on and off I get some visitors in London. Though I'll post some of the limited number of pictures that I have taken during my time here. Met up with Chris and Amelia during my Christmas break and spent part of it in Warwick with Yanning and Weebeng.

Some of the people from my course (mostly guys which is why I am so sian) taken on Guy Fawkes day where we went to see fireworks at some random park in London.

Took this pic when Amelia came down to London during the Christmas break. The three of us met up on Bond street and went on a walking tour for I think 2 hours maybe? Chris was acting like a tourist! Taking pictures of everything. One cannot help but suspect if he does indeed stay in London. I think he is a what I would call a part time Londoner.

Oh well first time for everything I suppose

Hellooo!!!!!! looks like everyone's working now.
Just some updates from me

I am at work now (taking a shorter lunch break, hence can blog a bit before everyone comes back).

Work's getting busy and SAS is geeting harder..I am now familiar with databasing, SQL, etc ( Fel, u will be so proud of me, heheheh)

MH, well done with ur first job, souds like u r enjoying it..hahahah actually i cant tell. Make sure u audit people's account properly.

KH, wow ging to UK...noy tey one year working, and u r already on leave..hahahahha..i want your work!!!!!! (rather your leave ) ;p

Well nothing much happenign here. Everyday the same, wake up, fight the jam, and sit for 10hours + with my beloved SAS..then go back to fight with the jam..

Hey everyone..thanks for ppl congratulating me abt me and ma first job...I am in my dept for the first day (3rd day after 2 days of orientation)...must be wondering what the heck am i doing on the blog cause i got n'thin to do y'all...and u know what, i am seconded to audit for a month, man, i hope i aint be stock checking at da Grave man...that'll be some real shit and dont wanna get stuck somewhere in Kedah or wherever esp when Cinese new year is coming man...

Firstly, read WW's blog...damn i aint a slacker...if ur friends asked if i were nice, of course la..but too bad u aint here in the office, gotta be at Bank Pembangunan until March...damn...

Then, Chris i can see u can write really a lot of chinese mate..wahaha..good job...and P&G is good job indeed too...muahahaha...

Finally, KH..I am so happy to hear u can go off to B'ham!...amazing...hope u have great time and enjoy urself at the chinese restaurants and the msian food one...wow..now start work...dunno when can be like u can go travel!....but if dont work..also cant travel cause no $$..haha..
